Thanks from a Newbie Pilot

Posted by Gary Potter on November 14, 2014 at 4:45 PM

Well, not actually a pilot yet; more like a rookie in training.

Just wanted to pass along a word of thanks to everyone at the field that’s had an encouraging word. I’ve got three planes now – an Apprentice, a SU34, and a UMX Radian.

I’ve had several solo flights on the Radian, two on the SU34, and still working on soloing the Apprentice. I love it when I learn new stuff. First, don’t let your plane get away from you, gravity can be punishing, and worst of all, speed kills.

No one was hurt in this mishap.

You know you're really into the hobby when you spend more time at home with a bottle of CA glue and kicker than you do with the family. That's just a little booboo...congratulations it didn't explode into popcorn. Welcome to the club Gary!
