London’s Heathrow incident believed to be a plastic bag, not a drone

Michael Wargo will be at the flying field tommorrow at 7am for several hours. He will assist anyone wanting help setting up their airplane or tips on flying. If you have 3D planes be sure to bring them. Michael has quite a few how to video's on Youtube showing how to do various 3D flying maneuvers as well as 3D airframe control setup. Just a little heads up. Professional pilot Michael Wargo will be coming out to our flying field this Wednesday 5/4. Michael is well known for his 3D flying skills and is always willing to help others. Hopefully some others will show up to join the fun. I will update the time when I find out,  Jim

Because of my cancer I am unable to continue my participation in the LVSC. My biggest impediment is my inability to drive the car while on chemo drugs which is all the time. Consequently, I have some items priced to sell that I purchased late last year at Friendly's and haven't used yet this year. FPV Wing Racing

I would like to request permission to use the flying for a group of out of town visitors on April 10, 2016.  The group is coming to Las Vegas for some FPV adventures and would like to join our local FPV wing racing group for an event.  We would need the use of the flying field from 10am-3pm for FPV wing racing with pylons(weather balloons) attendance is expected to be about 20 pilots and the event is free to attend.  All pilots would be required to show their AMA & FAA regi...

Board of Director's Position

At a recent board meeting it was decided to fill an open position on the Las Vegas Soaring Club Board of Director's. This position is for the current 2016 year and expires December 31, 2016.

LVSC Bylaws allow for the board to fill any available positions without a General Membership vote.
